These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of BidFilter, including the BidFilter website, Chrome extension, APIs, and related services.
By using BidFilter, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use BidFilter.
BidFilter is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Upwork.
1. What BidFilter provides
BidFilter helps freelancers review Upwork job posts before deciding whether to apply. It may provide:
- job decision labels
- apply scores
- budget fit analysis
- client signal analysis
- competition indicators
- red flags
- questions to ask before applying
- saved history and status tracking for paid users
BidFilter is a decision-support tool. It does not guarantee job success, client response, earnings, interviews, or hiring outcomes.
2. Manual use only
BidFilter is designed for manual review.
You agree not to use BidFilter to:
- auto-apply to jobs
- send automated proposals
- message clients automatically
- scrape or crawl Upwork in bulk
- bypass Upwork rules, restrictions, or technical protections
- collect or misuse third-party data
- violate any platform’s terms or applicable law
BidFilter does not provide an auto-apply feature.
3. Your responsibility
You are responsible for deciding whether to apply to a job, reviewing job posts yourself, ensuring your proposals are accurate and lawful, complying with Upwork’s terms and policies, complying with applicable laws, and maintaining your own professional judgment.
BidFilter’s analysis may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or based on limited visible information.
4. Account
You may need an account to use BidFilter. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
You must provide accurate account information and may not use BidFilter for abusive, fraudulent, or unlawful purposes.
5. Free and paid plans
BidFilter may offer Free and paid plans. The Free plan may include a limited number of checks per month.
The Pro plan may include additional checks, deeper analysis, saved history, and other paid features.
Plan limits, pricing, and features may change over time. We will make reasonable efforts to display current pricing and plan details on the website.
6. Billing and cancellation
Paid subscriptions are processed by our billing provider.
By purchasing a paid plan, you authorize the billing provider to charge the applicable fees. You can manage or cancel your subscription through the account page or billing portal where available.
Unless otherwise stated, subscription fees are billed in advance and may be non-refundable except where required by law or billing provider policy.
If payment fails, is disputed, or your subscription becomes inactive, BidFilter may downgrade your account to Free or restrict paid features.
7. Acceptable use
You may not:
- reverse engineer, attack, or disrupt the service
- attempt to access other users’ data
- abuse usage limits
- use BidFilter to build a competing service using our non-public outputs or systems
- upload or transmit malicious code
- use BidFilter in a way that violates Upwork’s rules or applicable law
8. Third-party services
BidFilter may interact with or refer to third-party services, including Upwork, billing providers, AI model providers, hosting providers, and authentication providers.
We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their terms.
Upwork is a third-party platform. BidFilter is not affiliated with Upwork.
9. AI-generated analysis
BidFilter may use AI systems to generate analysis.
AI-generated analysis can be wrong. It may miss important details, overstate risks, understate risks, or misinterpret a job post.
You should treat BidFilter output as decision support, not professional, legal, financial, or career advice.
10. No guarantees
BidFilter does not guarantee:
- that you will win jobs
- that clients will respond
- that analysis will be accurate
- that all red flags will be detected
- that Upwork pages will always be readable
- uninterrupted or error-free service
11. Service changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of BidFilter at any time. We may also change plan limits, features, pricing, or supported platforms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, create risk for other users, or create legal or security concerns.
You may stop using BidFilter at any time.
13. Intellectual property
BidFilter, including its software, interface, branding, analysis logic, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors.
You retain responsibility for your own content and use of third-party job information.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BidFilter will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, or business interruption arising from your use of the service.
15. Disclaimer
BidFilter is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
