Install BidFilter from the Chrome Web Store.

Pin the extension

Click the puzzle icon in Chrome and pin BidFilter so it stays visible.

Log in to BidFilter

Use your BidFilter account so checks and plan limits sync correctly.

Open one Upwork job

Open a job detail page or job detail modal on Upwork, then click Analyze.

BidFilter does not analyze search results pages as one job. Open a specific job first.

Troubleshooting

Normal install issues

I installed BidFilter but do not see it.

Click the Chrome puzzle icon and pin BidFilter. Then refresh your Upwork tab.

Analyze is not shown.

Open a specific Upwork job detail page or job modal. Search result pages are not analyzed as a single job.

I am asked to log in.

Log in to your BidFilter account so your usage and plan can be checked.

My checks are used up.

Free includes 5 checks/month. Pro includes 200 checks/month.

Does BidFilter apply to jobs automatically?

No. BidFilter never sends proposals, messages clients, or applies to jobs.

Safety and privacy

Built for manual review, not automation spam.

Analyzes only the job you open

Does not auto-apply

Does not send proposals

Does not message clients

Does not collect Upwork passwords

Does not bulk analyze search results

Uses server-side analysis for protected API keys

Developer local install

This section is only for developers running BidFilter locally. Normal users should install from the Chrome Web Store.

  1. pnpm --filter @bidfilter/extension build
  2. Open chrome://extensions
  3. Enable Developer mode
  4. Load unpacked apps/extension/dist
